DULUTH, Minn. (AP) - Authorities have identified a construction worker who was killed in a forklift accident on the Bong Bridge between Duluth and Superior, Wisconsin.

The Anoka County Medical Examiner says 18-year-old Kelsey Hagenson of Thorp, Wisconsin, died Monday at a Duluth hospital about an hour after the accident. WDIO-TV (https://bit.ly/1WhPeBg ) reports the medical examiner says Hagenson died of “multiple blunt force injuries due to a pedestrian-forklift mishap.”

Another worker was injured in the accident on the U.S. Highway 2 bridge, which is in the second year of a major reconstruction. The Minnesota State Patrol has said the workers are employed by Lunda Construction of Black River Falls, Wis.

Both eastbound lanes of the bridge and one westbound lane have been closed this summer for construction.
