BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) - CH2M Hill has announced it will close its Bellingham office due to the current downturn in the oil and gas industry.

The Bellingham Herald reports (https://goo.gl/QxXaTt ) that the engineering firm announced its decision Monday. The closure will affect 120 employees.

Spokesman John Corsi says the company is working to find the Bellingham employees other work within the company or at other organizations.

He says the office will close within the next 60 days, but some staff will be asked to stay to finish ongoing projects.
