DOVER, Del. (AP) - State officials are accepting public comment on proposed changes to rules governing Delaware’s farmland preservation program.

The Delaware Agricultural Lands Preservation Foundation was to hold a public hearing Wednesday in Dover to discuss the proposed regulations.

Among the issues targeted by the regulations is the acquisition of preservation easements, including the process for submitting applications to sell easements, establishing the purchase price for the easements with appraisal information, and the basis for accepting offers to sell easements.

No changes are being proposed to the forestland preservation regulations.
