MACON, Ga. (AP) - Macon officials are considering whether the city could attract a minor league baseball team.

The Macon-Bibb County Operations and Finance Committee voted 3-2 on Tuesday to approve a resolution proposing a $50,000 market analysis and economic feasibility study. The effort would take about 10 weeks to complete.

The Telegraph newspaper (https://bit.ly/1QwKIeB ) reports the county commission will consider the issue during an Oct. 6 meeting.
