WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (AP) - Wood County sheriff’s officials say a Pittsville man has died after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a highway sign.

Authorities say the 66-year-old man was heading east on Highway 10 just before midnight Tuesday when his bike hit the shoulder of the road and he lost control.

Deputies say the man suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
