SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Two people are in custody after Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit agents found an indoor garden where marijuana was being grown.

Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator and Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw, in a news release Wednesday, said agents received a tip about possible narcotics activity at a home on Murray Street.

On Tuesday, agents searched the home and found a sophisticated growing operation, including fans, grow lights, fertilizer and other items used to cultivate marijuana. Agents also seized four firearms, drug paraphernalia and 26 mature marijuana plants.

Booked with cultivation of marijuana and possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance are 29-year-old Kimberly Cornett and 32-year-old Ronald Roden. Bond information wasn’t immediately available.

It was unknown if either suspect has an attorney who could comment.
