PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The popular Pearl Restaurant and Lounge in Providence is reopening with a new name after it was heavily damaged by a fire last December.

WJAR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1QxtXzJ ) the Pearl is set to reopen by the end of the week and will be called the Prime Cut Modern Steakhouse and Mezzo nightclub.

Joe Zito, a consultant working with the nightclub, says it has been remodeled to appear more modern.

The Pearl was heavily damaged by an arson fire shortly before New Year’s 2015.

Police said surveillance video showed the suspect walking around the building just before the fire. They had offered a $5,000 reward in hopes of catching the person.

WJAR-TV reports the fire is still an open investigation.
