DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a man who was critically injured in a Daytona Beach shooting that left two women dead remains on a ventilator and has lost his left eye.

Police Chief Mike Chitwood says Micah Parham was shot six times last Thursday by roommate York Bodden. Bodden also fatally shot 21-year-old Timesha “Lisa” Carswell and 19-year-old Diona McDonald. All three victims were students at nearby Bethune-Cookman University.

Bodden was later arrested in his hometown, North Miami. He was taken to Turner Guildford Knight Correctional Center in Miami to await extradition to Volusia County. Officials say he hanged himself in the jail cell early Saturday morning.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal (https://bit.ly/1KAVjRX ) reports Carswell and Parham decided they wanted Bodden to leave the apartment. Bodden became angry and started shooting.
