CLERMONT, Fla. (AP) - Police say a toddler has drowned in a swimming pool in Clermont.

The Orlando Sentinel (https://bit.ly/1OufIOL ) reports the 1½-year-old girl’s mother found her unconscious in the pool on Tuesday night.

Clermont police Sgt. Shane Strickland says the mother pulled the girl out of the pool and rescue crews took her to a hospital. She was pronounced dead.

Strickland says no foul play is suspected.

Police haven’t identified the girl or the mother.

An investigation continues.
