CORDELL, Okla. (AP) - The murder trial has begun for a former Cordell man charged with killing a woman who disappeared in 2007 and hasn’t been seen since.

KECO reports that testimony began Wednesday in Washita County District Court in the first-degree murder trial of 36-year-old Ronnie Denny of Princeton, Texas. Denny is charged with killing 27-year-old Melissa Sue Flores - who disappeared Jan. 27, 2007.

Prosecutors say Flores was Denny’s girlfriend and that her car, cellphone and purse were found at the home the two shared, but her body has never been located.

Denny was arrested at his Princeton, Texas, home in June 2014 and was extradited to Oklahoma to face the charge.
