RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - State officials have announced the date for the next Virginia Food and Beverage Expo.

The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services says the culinary show is set for March 23, 2016, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. The expo, which takes place every other year on even years, showcases the variety of food and beverage products from across Virginia. It’s a trade show just for buyers and is not open to the public.

The 2016 theme is “The Best of the Best.” Officials expect more than 100 producers will exhibit specialty food products, including meats, cheeses, peanuts, condiments, confections and baked goods. A new addition is a beverage garden that will feature Virginia’s craft beer, wine and spirits.
