LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police are searching for the car that ran off after hitting a 6-year-old boy.

Authorities say the boy and an adult were walking in the crosswalk of an eastern Las Vegas intersection controlled by lights about 8:35 p.m. Tuesday.

The gray Nissan Altima hit the boy, knocking him backward, and then continued westbound on Charleston Boulevard near Marion Drive.

Police say the boy was not injured.
