CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - A woman says she was sexually assaulted on the Oregon State University campus.

Oregon State Police say the woman told troopers that she was walking between two buildings on campus early Wednesday morning when a man approached her. She said the man assaulted her and fled.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s with a beard and grayish-black hair.

State police say troopers and campus security officers are patrolling the campus.

Classes begin Thursday at OSU.
