DENVER (AP) - Abnormally dry and warm weather has prompted a number of areas along the Front Range to enact fire bans.

Jefferson County on Thursday joined Larimer, Boulder and Arapahoe counties in issuing fire restrictions. The city of Centennial and Cherry Creek State Park also have bans in place.

KCNC-TV reports (https://cbsloc.al/1FgJWBV ) that while the latest data from the U.S. Drought Monitor shows Colorado has been free of drought since Sept. 15, areas of abnormally dry conditions are developing, which is the stage before drought conditions are declared.
