NEW YORK (AP) - The Federal Aviation Administration is reminding people that New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. have been declared temporary no drone zones during the pope’s visit to the U.S.

The FAA has put in flight restrictions through Sept. 27. That means flying a drone or unmanned aircraft anywhere in those cities is against the law and may result in criminal or civil charges.

Pope Francis touched down in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday. He’ll arrive in New York on Thursday night and leave Saturday morning for Philadelphia.

In New York, the pontiff’s packed itinerary includes a Mass at Madison Square Garden, a prayer service at the Sept. 11 memorial and a visit to an East Harlem school.
