RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia State Police have announced funeral arrangements for a trooper who died in the line of duty.

Twenty-seven-year-old Trooper Nathan-Michael W. Smith of Henrico was killed Monday when his car crashed as he was responding to an accident in Dinwiddie County. The driver involved in the first accident, 65-year-old Donald W. Shaw of Montgomery, Louisiana, also was killed.

State police say a visitation for Smith is set for 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Henrico. Funeral services will be at the church at 2 p.m. Saturday.
