No. 25 Missouri (3-0, 0-0 SEC) at Kentucky (2-1, 1-1), 7:30 p.m. (SEC Network)

Line: Kentucky by 3

Series record: Missouri leads 3-2.

After outlasting UConn 9-6 last weekend, Missouri seeks more scoring in pursuit of its school-record 12th straight road win and third consecutive opening victory in SEC play. Kentucky looks to rebound from last week’s home loss to Florida in which it managed just three field goals against the Gators.

Kentucky’s offensive line vs. Missouri’s defensive line. Any chance Wildcats QB Patrick Towles has of throwing the ball deep depends on their linemen stepping up and stopping the Tigers’ formidable front four, where DEs Walter Brady and Charles Harris each have two sacks. The duo has combined for 12 tackles for loss, while the line overall has had at least nine TFLs in every game this season.

Missouri: WLB Kentrell Brothers has been all over the place for the Tigers with a nation-leading 42 tackles, including three for loss. He also has two interceptions and two blocked kicks.

Kentucky: RB Stanley “Boom” Williams leads the Wildcats in rushing with 322 yards and is averaging 8.1 yards per carry. He had rushed for 100 yards in three straight games dating back to last season before last week’s 80-yard effort against Florida snapped the streak.

Missouri ranks fourth nationally in defense at 217 yards allowed per game. … Tigers coach Gary Pinkel is 3-0 against Kentucky since joining the SEC. … The Tigers seek their eighth 4-0 start under Pinkel. … RB Russell Hansbrough needs 54 yards rushing to become the 15th Tiger to break 2,000 career. … Kentucky held Florida to 245 yards, four more than the Wildcats gained in their 14-9 loss. … Junior DB J.D. Harmon has two interceptions, forced a fumble and returned a kickoff 60 yards this season.
