TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - A Toledo man has been found guilty in the slaying of his ex-wife whose body was found in a running vehicle parked in a field.

Ronald Boaston faces up to life in prison when he’s sentenced next week.

He was convicted Wednesday of strangling his former wife at his home in February 2014.

Boaston’s attorney had argued that there was no evidence tying him to the killing. But prosecutors said that both cell phone records and gloves found by police linked Boaston to the woman’s death.

Hunters found the body of 28-year-old Brandi Gonyer-Boaston in a Fulton County field.

The Blade reported that Boaston and his former wife divorced in 2006 and had two children together.
