LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas’ attorney general is asking Arkansans statewide to turn in their old or unused prescription drugs.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s annual National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is scheduled for Saturday and locations to accept the drugs will be available statewide from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Attorney General Leslie Rutledge says keeping unused prescription drugs is dangerous and can harm loved ones and the environment. She encourages families to clean out medicine cabinets of unwanted, unneeded or expired prescription drugs.

Sites where the drugs will be accepted are available at ARTakeBack.org. The DEA Office of Diversion Control also has web site at https://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/drug_disposal/takeback/index.html where you can search by zip code, city, or state. The service is free and anonymous.
