HONOLULU (AP) - Honolulu Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint in Kapiolani Park.

KHON-TV reported that the man entered the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle while she was waiting for her daughter to finish soccer practice Monday evening. The man displayed a handgun and demanded her property.

Sgt. Kim Buffett of CrimeStoppers says surveillance video at a store in Haleiwa shows a man similar to the woman’s description using credit cards that were taken in the robbery.

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department released images of the man on Wednesday. The Honolulu Star-Advertiser and KITV-TV reported that he’s described as about 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds.

Authorities are asking the public to call or text CrimeStoppers with information.
