LAKEWOOD, Ohio (AP) - A rash of vehicle thefts in a northeast Ohio city has left a popular Cleveland cover band without valuable instruments and equipment.

Northeast Ohio Media Group reports (https://bit.ly/1Jr2omd ) a minivan and an attached trailer belonging to 80s and 90s cover band Pop Rocks was among the latest to be lifted in Lakewood.

Police say the van was one of four vehicles reported stolen in the Cuyahoga County city since Sunday.

The van and now-empty trailer were recovered near Interstate 490 with busted locks. Gone were the group’s lights, cables, cases and instruments.

Band members said the instruments and equipment stored in the stolen trailer were worth between $30,000 and $40,000.

A post on the band’s Facebook page said many of the instruments were insured but the equipment was not.
