BUNNELL, Fla. (AP) - A 75-year-old central Florida woman is accused of fatally shooting her husband after a disturbance.

Flagler County Sheriff’s spokesman James Troiano says Anna Pehota was arrested Wednesday night on second-degree murder charges.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal (https://bit.ly/1R23eMA ) reports Pehota told a 911 dispatcher that she shot and killed her husband in their beachside mobile home community. Paramedics declared 77-year-old John Pehota dead at the scene.

Officials say Anna Pehota is cooperating with investigators. Troiano says a motive hasn’t been determined.

The newspaper reports Anna Pehota is an artist whose works were once showcased at the Florida Supreme Court building in Tallahassee.

She remained in the Flagler County Jail early Thursday. Records don’t indicate whether she’s hired an attorney.
