Southern U. (2-1) at No. 7 Georgia (3-0), Noon (SEC Network)

Line: No line.

Series Record: First game.

Georgia, coming off an impressive 52-20 win over South Carolina, must avoid looking ahead to next week’s visit from No. 12 Alabama. Southern coach Dawson Odums joked “hopefully we’ll come back with the same number of guys as we take up there.”

Southern QB Austin Howard vs. Georgia’s pass rush. Howard has led the Jaguars to at least 50 points in two Southwestern Athletic Conference wins. He set a career high with 395 yards passing in last week’s 50-13 win over Jackson State and was named SWAC offensive player of the week. LB Jordan Jenkins has three of Georgia’s seven sacks.

Southern: WR/PR/KR Willie Quinn (5-5, 150) was described by Georgia coach Mark Richt as “a stick of dynamite as an athlete.” Quinn had three returns for touchdowns in the first two games and also has a touchdown catch.

Georgia: QB Greyson Lambert has the difficult task of trying to match his near-perfect game against South Carolina in which he set a NCAA record in completing 96 percent of his passes - 24 of 25 for 330 yards and three touchdowns. Though he struggled the previous week against Vanderbilt, Lambert hasn’t thrown an interception this season.
