LITTLETON, Colo. (AP) - A judge on Thursday ordered Shawn Geerdes held without bond in connection with the killing of a Parker man whose body was found in a burning car in Jefferson County.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says the 46-year-old suspect was arrested Wednesday after being pulled over in Douglas County. He was ordered to appear in court next week to be informed about formal charges. Court records did not indicate whether he had an attorney.

He’s suspected of killing 44-year-old Jason Dosa, a father of two from Parker. Dosa was shot and his body was found in a burning car down a steep embankment in Deer Creek Canyon west of Chatfield State Park on Sunday.

Investigators haven’t provided a possible motive for the killing and the court records have been sealed.
