HOUSTON (AP) - Houston police say a 6-year-old boy has died and his 11-year-old brother was wounded in a drive-by shooting into a house as both children slept.

Police are seeking suspects in the attack before dawn Friday.

Sgt. Steven Murdock says investigators are trying to determine if the shootings are related to gangs or drugs. He did not elaborate.

Murdock says the boys were in bed when gunshots were fired from a vehicle driving by the home.

The younger boy, identified by relatives as Moises Jimenez, was dead at the scene. His brother, who was not identified, was transported to a hospital. Police say he is in critical condition.

No adults in the house were injured.

Further details weren’t immediately available.
