BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - The former Holiday Inn site near the Coast Coliseum is one of three properties in South Mississippi that will be sold at auctions in October.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1YEYaTm) John Dixon & Associates, a real estate auction company based in Atlanta, will auction the bank-owned vacant land that includes 3 acres on U.S. 90 in Long Beach and nearly 7 acres of residential land on Back Bay in North Biloxi.

The commercial site in Biloxi, where Holiday Inn operated before Hurricane Katrina, will be sold by sealed bids that are due by 3 p.m. Oct. 20. The owner is BancorpSouth.

It’s a site the Coliseum Commission has eyed for several years as the location for a hotel within walking distance of the Coliseum and Convention Center venue.
