TOWNVILLE, Pa. (AP) - A coroner says a 74-year-old man found slain in his northwestern Pennsylvania home had been shot once in the head and again in the neck.

State police have yet to charge anybody with killing Kenneth Halsaver, who was found dead by a relative Tuesday at his home in Townville. That’s about 90 miles north of Pittsburgh.

The victim’s son, 33-year-old Dustin Halsaver, of Meadville, has been in Centre County jail since police stopped him driving the dead man’s pickup Wednesday, following a 40-mile chase on Interstate 80.

Police charged him with receiving stolen property - the pickup - but not in connection with his father’s death.

A state police spokesman didn’t immediately provide an update on the investigation Friday. Online records don’t list an attorney Dustin Halsaver who could comment on his behalf.
