ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - Pitkin County authorities say a man who was found unconscious near the summit of Mount Sopris has died.

The Aspen Times reports (https://goo.gl/wQcGfr ) rescue teams responded Thursday after two women discovered 73-year-old Robert Baumgartner, of Boulder, below the false summit of the 13,000-foot peak.

The two hikers performed CPR on the man but were unable to revive him.

Deputy Coroner Eric Hansen said Friday night that Baumgartner died of coronary artery disease.
