TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - The University of Toledo is ready for a big celebration.

The school on Friday will inaugurate its 17th president.

Sharon Gaber has been on the job since the beginning of July. She plans to talk about her overall goals for the university at the inauguration ceremony.

Gaber already has said she wants to improve the university’s reputation, grow enrollment and research funding, retain students and raise philanthropic support.

She left her post as provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Arkansas to come to Toledo.
