OXON HILL, Md. (AP) - Fire officials say two juveniles have been found responsible for setting a fire at a playground in Oxon Hill.

The fire happened Thursday at the Forest Hill Apartments. Officials say it appears the playground was doused with gasoline and set ablaze.

Spokesman Mark Brady from the Prince George’s County Fire Department says the fire created a thick black smoke that could be seen for miles.

The cause of damage is about $40,000.

No injuries were reported. Fire officials say the two juveniles have been referred to a “matchless opportunities” program.
