MATTITUCK, N.Y. (AP) - An 89-year-old woman has been injured after driving into a home furnishings store on eastern Long Island.

Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/1Vf5wsk) reports the accident happened at about 1:10 p.m. Thursday in Mattituck.

Police say Dorothy Fisher sustained a leg injury in the crash.

Police said Fisher told them she had just used a cash machine at a bank in Mattituck Plaza and was driving away when her gas pedal got stuck. She crashed into Renee’s home furnishings store.

There was no immediate information on damage to the building. No charges were immediately filed.
