MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say four RV trailers have burned at a dealership in Mesa after a propane tank being serviced exploded.

Mesa Fire Department officials say one employee of the La Mesa RV Center suffered some burns on his hands and arms in Friday afternoon’s incident.

The fire caused thick, black smoke that wafted over the U.S. 60 for a brief time during rush-hour traffic and slowed traffic.

Authorities say a propane tank on one of the RVs exploded and the resulting fire spread to other nearby trailers.

Helicopter footage from KTVK-TV in Phoenix showed four RV trailers smoldering near the service area of the dealership and water being sprayed on the recreational vehicles.
