ALBION, Maine (AP) - Maine wardens say a 57-year-old man died after falling out of a canoe in the town of Albion.

Wardens say David Fann was fishing with his father when their canoe capsized Friday afternoon on Lovejoy Pond. Nearby fisherman Owen Pierce from Lisbon heard hollering and helped get the men to shore.

Wardens say Fann was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The medical examiner’s office was notified, and cause of death was not immediately known. Wardens say there were no lifejackets in the men’s canoe.
