KIMBALL, Neb. (AP) - Those in western Nebraska can stop by for food and fun at the 89th Annual Kimball Farmer’s Day celebration going on this weekend.

The Scottsbluff Star-Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1gXOf9r ) that the celebration began Friday and runs through Sunday.

Activities include a pancake feed, a parade, free hamburger feed, a pie baking contest, classic car and truck show, gun raffle, demolition derby and block party with live music. Sunday will feature the Kamikaze Air Show, a display of large, remote-controlled model planes.

Celebration committee chairwoman Assunta Calise says the event wouldn’t be complete without the recognition of the Outstanding Farmer, Outstanding Homemaker and the Parade Grand Marshal on Saturday.
