MIAMI (AP) - Marco Rubio is taking his Republican presidential campaign to The Villages in central Florida, an upscale retirement community whose political influence routinely draws GOP presidential candidates.

The campaign stop is scheduled for Monday.

Rubio has garnered lots of media attention in the past week for his clashes with GOP front-runner Donald Trump. He jabbed the billionaire businessman Thursday as “touchy and insecure” on a popular sports radio show in Kentucky. He kept up the attack that night on Fox’s “The O’Reilly Factor,” saying Trump “doesn’t know anything about policy.”

The Villages is dominated by Republican voters, who outnumber Democratic voters by a two-to-one margin. The latest Florida polls show Trump in the lead ahead of Rubio and Jeb Bush.
