HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - State police say a young boy was killed when two vehicles collided on the Atlantic City Expressway.

Three other people were injured in the crash, which occurred shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday in the westbound lanes near milemarker 16.2 in Hamilton Township.

State police say the 6-year-old boy was riding in a sport utility vehicle driven by 26-year-old Jillian Nimmo, of Sickerville. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his name has not been released.

The SUV and a vehicle driven by 89-year-old Jerome Fogel, of Westmont, both went off the highway and struck some trees off the shoulder.

Nimmo, Fogel and Fogel’s passenger, 82-year-old Loretta Gregorio of Haddonfield, were all injured in the crash and were taken to hospitals. But further details on their conditions were not disclosed.
