CLEVELAND (AP) - Police say a man was shot in the head and killed and two people were wounded after someone fired into a crowd near a popular Cleveland nightspot district.

A Cleveland police spokeswoman says the shooting occurred around 2 a.m. Sunday on Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland near East Fourth Street. A man and a woman were both shot in the leg. All three victims were taken to a hospital, where the man who was shot in the head died.

No information about the victims has been released and no arrests have been made. Police have not said what might have prompted the shooting.
