CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Children ages 15 and under are enjoying free weekend of duck hunting in New Hampshire.

During Youth Waterfowl Hunting Weekend, children may hunt with properly licensed adults without obtaining a hunting license or duck stamp themselves. Adults may not hunt during the youth weekend.

Officials say the weekend allows children to accompany adults who know the sport at a time of year when it’s still fairly warm and there are a good number of birds around. All regular season waterfowl regulations apply.
