MURRELLS INLET, S.C. (AP) - U.S. Sen. Tim Scott is making a stop on South Carolina’s coast this weekend.

On Sunday, Scott attends a memorial service at a Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Murrells Inlet.

Organizers say that as part of a short ceremony the VFW will lay a brick at the memorial in honor of Scott and his efforts on behalf of veterans.

Scott is staying on the coast through Monday, when he hosts an hour-long town hall meeting with GOP presidential hopeful and fellow South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham.
