DETROIT (AP) - Union leaders and members plan to visit Detroit-area churches as part of an effort to strengthen labor’s relationship with the faith community.

Members of a labor team will make stops Sunday morning at New Calvary, Russell Street and New Bethel Baptist churches in Detroit and International Gospel Center in Ecorse.

They are expected to share facts on labor unions, the role of unions in building the middle-class and contributions made by unionized workers.
