NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the slaying of two people whose bodies were found stuffed in a Nashville closet and covered in trash.

Nashville Metro Police identified the bodies Monday as 24-year-old Preston Claybrooks Jr. and his longtime girlfriend, 23-year-old Alexandra Grubbs.

Police say they are booking a couple that Claybrooks and Grubbs were living with and believe the motive was a dispute over drugs.

Autopsies indicated that Claybrooks and Grubbs died of blunt force trauma. Police believe they were killed on Sept. 21, and they were reported missing three days later.
