LOWELL, Wis. (AP) - Authorities say a 17-year-old boy has been struck and killed by a pickup while walking along a roadway in Dodge County.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to the crash around 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the township of Lowell. The sheriff’s office says the pickup, driven by a 20-year-old man, was headed north when it struck the teen.

According to the sheriff’s office, the teen was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim is identified as Lukas Jaeger of Juneau.

The driver suffered minor injuries. Several friends were walking with the victim at the time but were not hurt.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the crash.
