KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) - Officials say the body found in a Kenosha County cornfield over the weekend is believed to be that of a missing man.

Authorities on Monday said the body found Saturday off Highway A is apparently that of 37-year-old Tywon Anderson. Anderson was reported missing a week earlier, on Sept. 19.

WITI-TV (https://bit.ly/1h56DgL ) reports the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department is calling the death suspicious.

Officials say the information they can give out is limited because they are looking for people of interest. No one is under arrest.

Sheriff David Beth believes Anderson had been dead for seven days before he was found.

The sheriff says the public is not at risk. He also says the victim was believed to be involved in illegal activity, with a drug history.
