WARREN, Mich. (AP) - A house has exploded and caught fire in Warren, north of Detroit.

Warren Fire Chief David Frederick tells The Detroit News that the one-story home exploded about 1:30 p.m. Monday. No one was inside and no injuries have been reported.

The house suffered significant damage from the explosion and fire, which took firefighters about 20 minutes to bring under control.

Frederick says utility officials and fire investigators are checking to see if a gas leak caused the explosion.
