KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) - A Klamath Falls woman has been charged with fatally shooting her boyfriend.

The Herald and News reports (https://goo.gl/f4wb1k ) 60-year-old Kim Johnson Noud was charged with homicide in Klamath County Circuit Court Monday in connection with the shooting death of 42-year-old Kenneth Halston Wilkinson.

Noud called 911 at about 1:40 p.m. Saturday saying Wilkinson accidentally shot himself in the chest while playing with a handgun at their residence. Noud also told police she was in the kitchen cooking at the time and that he was seated in the living room.

Court records say an investigation determined that Wilkinson was shot in the back and that blood patterns, position of the gun and other evidence does not appear to be consistent with Noud’s statement.

Noud remains in jail without bond.
