ST. LOUIS (AP) - A man has died after being struck by a vehicle at St. Louis’ Fairground Park.

St. Louis police Lt. Paul Lauer said the victim in his late 20s was walking alone around 5 p.m. Sunday when he was struck by a vehicle. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to Lauer, witnesses told officers the vehicle might have been going at least twice as fast as the 25 mph speed limit.

Police are still looking for the driver of the vehicle and the investigation is ongoing.
