DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - A man has been arrested after police say he drove erratically on a sidewalk in downtown Des Moines.

KCCI-TV (https://bit.ly/1FvnTYt ) reports the 29-year-old man was arrested Saturday afternoon. According to a police report, the man drove through stoplights and onto a sidewalk. Police say when officers tried to pull over the suspect, he ran from his vehicle and led police on a short foot chase before being arrested.

He faces several charges including an outstanding warrant for a controlled substance violation and driving with a suspended license.
