WOODWORTH, La. (AP) - Divers have recovered the body of a woman who possibly drowned while swimming at Indian Creek Recreation Area near Woodworth.

Rapides Parish sheriff’s deputies told The Town Talk (https://townta.lk/1WtYF0w) that Stacey Lynn Roszell’s body was recovered about 5 p.m. Saturday. Officers responded to a possible drowning call around 2 p.m. Two men told them that a female “they had recently met” was swimming in water about 20 feet deep when she dove but did not resurface.

The 33-year-old victim, of Pineville, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a news release, no foul play is suspected. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
