ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (AP) - Authorities in Elizabeth City say two people face charges after a man’s body was found at a small park along U.S. 158 east of Elizabeth City.

Captain John Young of the Elizabeth City Police Department told area media outlets that 18-year-old Nahcier Latrell Brunson of Hertford was charged on Tuesday with first-degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Unique Travone Graham.

Police say a 17-year-old Hertford teenager is charged with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.

Police have not released the cause of death. Young said the body was found in shallow water about 10:30 a.m. Monday after officers received an anonymous tip.

Brunson is being held without bond, while the 17-year-old is jailed on a $500,000 bond. Jail records didn’t indicate whether either suspect has an attorney.
