CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A 22-year-old Casper man is suspected of harboring and sexually exploiting a girl who’d run away from her home in California.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1PLR0H9) Luke Phillip Horneck has been charged with interference with custody, sexual exploitation of a child and traveling with the intent to engage in illegal sexual conduct.

The girl’s age is unknown. Court records say she was born in 2001.

Court documents say Horneck traveled to Santa Rosa, California for the teenager. An affidavit says Horneck acknowledged trying to get the girl away from what he called a bad family situation.

A 911 caller told Casper police the teen ran away and was with Horneck. Court documents say officers found the two in a hotel room.

Horneck is being held on a $15,000 bond.
